Greater Pollok Young Carers Mentoring and Educational Services

The study group is available for young carers aged 12 or over living in the Greater Pollok area. The group meets every week and provides young carers with the space and facilities to study and get help with their homework. The group also provides access to computers and support from tutors. There is also support provided for school leavers to assist them in accessing further education, training or employment.

Offers young carers time out from caring to relax and have fun by providing free confidential I information about rights, services and benefits, as well as providing support with concerns at school and at home. The Dixon Community has a wide variety of projects aimed at older people and their carers, including a day centre, an ethnic minorities project, a carers' centre and an outreach project. A lot of its work involves providing support for carers themselves.
