Gay Men's Health is a charity that involves and empowers gay and bisexual men to promote health and wellbeing. It also offers an HIV counselling service, which is open to gay and bisexual men regardless of whether they have the virus.

GMH aims to:

Prevent further transmission of HIV
Challenge stigma and discrimination around living with HIV
Promote the sexual health of all gay and bisexual men
Promote the mental and emotional health of all gay and bisexual men

The Sandyford Initiative is part of the NHS in Glasgow and is available free of charge without the need to be referred by another practitioner. Both appointment and drop-in services are available: phone for details. It also has a free creche.

The centre provides counselling and group work for women wishing to gain insight and help with ongoing or past experiences of eating disorders in a safe and confidential environment. There are also services for friends and families of those with eating disorders. Please phone to make an appointment or visit your GP for a referral.Open drop-in groups provide an opportunity for women to make contact with other sufferers.

Services available for transsexual people: ongoing assessment, hormonal prescribing, referrals to other agencies such as surgery, endocrinology, and speech therapy available. Consultant led NHS service, with nurse specialist and counsellor, with input from SPR's in Psychiatry.
