Connections is a social care service working in partnership with the local Primary Care Mental Health Teams in East Dunbartonshire. The service offers support to people aged 16-65 years old, living in the East Dunbartonshire area who are experiecing common mental health difficulties.

The service offers support on a one-to-one basis which may focus on practical, social, emotional or educational difficulties. Support may make use of self help materials or more practical tools as a means of getting back to work/education or meeting new people.

The service offers a wide range of social groups including the Relaxation Group where people have the chance to experience alternative therapies and learn ways of coping with their anxiety/depression. The service also has a Drumming Group, this offers a fun and enjoyable opportunity to meet new people, try something new and beat stress! There is also a new Yoga Group and a Get Active Group (16-25 years old) during the summer.

Connections also has a peer support group called 'the Hub'. This is run every Wednesday afternoon in the Park Centre in Kirkintilloch and is a good way to meet new people, have a chat, listen to invitedspeakers or take part in some different social activities.

The service also employs a Reiki therapist.
